KNOX COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETINGS’ NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Knox County Board of Supervisors will hold its regular meeting every
other Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. unless there is a holiday at which the Board will change the
date and publish that date in the new meetings’ notice. LB596 adopted by the Nebraska Legislature
requires Board notices to be published only four times a year effective July 18, 2026. Special meeting
notices will be published separately in the Knox County legal papers.
Meetings will be held on the following dates: August 5 and 19, 2026.
The Board of Supervisors will recess its regular session and convene as the Board of
Equalization.
All meetings are held in the Board of Supervisors’ Room on the first floor of the Knox County
Courthouse located at 206 Main Street, Center, Nebraska and are open to the public.
The methods designated by the Knox County Board of Supervisors to provide reasonable
advance publicized notice will be publication in the legal papers of the Niobrara Tribune and Wausa
Gazette (Knox County News) in 2026 as well as on the Knox County Website at
www.knoxcountyne.gov and on the Knox County Nebraska Courthouse Facebook page. In case of
refusal, neglect, or inability of the legal newspapers to publish the notice, the Knox County Board of
Supervisors will post such notice in a conspicuous public place in Knox County’s jurisdiction and will
request the legal newspaper(s) submit a post on a statewide website.
Agendas for such meetings, kept continuously current, are available for public inspection at the
Knox County Clerk’s Office and on the website; however, the Board may modify the agendas at such
