Election Office
The Election Commissioner is responsible for maintaining all voter registration records and conduction all primary, general and special elections. This office works in conjunction with the Nebraska Secretary of State’s office to ensure compliance with all state and federal election guidelines.
Knox County is a By-Mail Election County
Voters will automatically receive their ballot in the mail before Election Day. This practice is allowed by state law in counties with fewer than 10,000 residents. Voters can return their ballot by one of the following methods:
- Mail to the Knox County Clerk, PO Box 166, Center, NE 68724 in the return envelope provided (special elections require return postage).
- Place into the designated election ballot drop-off box located in the east foyer of the Knox County Courthouse in Center in the return envelope provided.
- Deliver to the Knox County Clerk’s Office located on the first floor of the Knox County Courthouse in Center in the return envelope provided.
