Consent to Minor's Marriage

- Applicants must be 19 years of age. If either applicant is 17 or 18 years of age, a notarized form giving consent to the marriage of a minor
must be completed and signed by the applicant’s legal guardian. No one under the age of 17 may be legally married in the State of
Nebraska.
- Proof of identity and age must be provided along with the applicant’s social security number, if they have one. Applicants who do not have a
Social Security Number must complete a form provided by the Clerk asserting they do not have a Social Security Number.
- If applicant has been previously married, the date of dissolution or death must be provided.
A Marriage License issued in the State of Nebraska is good for one year anywhere in the State.
Marriage Licenses are issued from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.
The fee for the issuance of a Marriage License is $25.00. A certified copy of the marriage license is required in order for the applicant to
change their last name, e.g. Driver's License, Social Security, etc. The cost of a certified copy is $9. Total fee due at the time of application is
$34.
